Here is the latest on what is happening with the elections in Sierra Leone. They have to have a re-vote on September 8. It seems that things are getting a bit tense there right now. Pray for peaceful attitudes and another fair vote.

President Ahmed Tejan Kabbah of Sierra Leone threatened yesterday to impose a state of emergency ahead of the second round of presidential election run-off voting if violence between supporters of the ruling and opposition parties continues. On Monday, police declared a curfew in the eastern border region.....Violent clashes have occurred in parts of the country between supporters of Ernest Bai Koroma’s opposition All People’s Congress (APC) and Vice-President Solomon Berewa’s Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), and in some suburbs of Freetown, police have confirmed.
