This girl is one of my biggest joys of being back in Banta. The fact that I have gotten to see her grow up. Right before I left Sierra Leone back in 2007, this photo was taken of us. And now look at her! Look at how big she is. I was there when she was born, and then spent the next several months always holding her. When I left and came back the following summer, she was afraid of me the whole summer until the week before I left. The next summer, she warmed up to me a little bit. And now, being back I get to see her all the time. She is in nursery school and learning and growing so much. I am thankful that I can be a part of her life.
