Every night 4-6 boys and two small children come over to our house to study or to play with the candle wax as seen in the picture. It is so cute because they all bring their school notebooks and sit around trying to learn the material their teacher taught them. They have one problem though… they don’t know how to read. That is a problem that we are encountering here is that most of the children do not know how to read, and the teachers do not know how to teach them how to read. So we have gone back to the basics and are teaching letter sounds to not only the children, but also to the teachers.
