A small gift of corn

One thing that the Lord has continually been teaching me is that he is faithful to provide for my emotional needs. The past few weeks have been a little frustrating and discouraging as we learn what our role in school is suppossed to be. After one particulary frustrating day, when we were at home, we saw our neighbors' son coming up to visit. He came to give us corn from their garden to tell us thank you for providing lunch for him and his brothers and sisters. This gift touched my heart because they were not giving us out of their excess, they were giving us all that they had for that day. It was such an encouragement and a good lesson for me to learn. I am learning to stop and appreciate those small moments because those are what will keep me going and they are gifts from the Lord reminding us that he is faithful.
