The mountain

Yesterday I was driving down to Tacoma and drove around the corner and saw this...

Mount Rainer! (sorry for the bad photo, taken while driving... I know, unsafe...)

It's a huge mountain that just seems to pop out of the ground. Unfortunately, because of all the gray cloudy skies, you rarely get to see this beautiful mountain. It really is a shame because it is amazing to look at.

A couple months ago when the Kadie and Susan were here we took them to Mount Rainer to the highest point that you can drive to. It was cloudy, but then the clouds rolled away and we got to see it. So beautiful!

Its a 14,000 foot mountain, which coming from Colorado where we have lots of them, I wasn't super impressed at first, but when you see it in comparison to sea level where the rest of Washington is at, it is pretty amazing.

Now, if only this rain would go away so we could see it more often...
